Dog Rescue

Dogs can't talk, and sometimes that can't escape a terrible situation. That is why they need you to look out for them, watch over them.

Dog rescue is the work of many dedicated humans, pulling together to help dogs that have ended up in difficult situations. This does not always mean irresponsible owners. This could mean the owner no longer wants to be an owner and has turned the dog over to rescue, for one reason or another. Yet sometimes a dog has become a stray because the owner did not provide adequate facilities, love and attention --- and the wonderful rescue folks have removed the dog from the local pound. They stepped in to save a life!

Dogs Give Love!

I'm sure rescue work is very hard, sad and depressing at times. And very joyful when they can find a loving home for a throwaway dog. If you feel an older dog is right for you, rescue is the best place to find one. You can find pure bred as well as mixed breed dogs. The dog will be current on all vaccinations and healthy before allowed to go to a new home. Be prepared to answer a questionnaire or two. They want to make sure that yours is a forever home!

Go to InfoDog.com or PetFinder.com to find a great list for dog rescue!

Not many people know about rescue. Rescue organizations are always looking for help. Help can be in many forms: donations, supplies, helping hands, driving a rescue to it's new home (or just part way). Contact the rescue organization of your choice and ask them how you can help.

With all of the unwanted dogs we are producing, especially through puppymills, rescue work is a constant uphill battle. As soon as possible, a percentage of the funds brought in by this website will be donated to rescue. I can't think of a better way to help our doggie friends.
